I would like some help if possible? A freind of mine has found out her father was serving on board HMS Perseus when it was mined of Kefallonia in 1941. Her mother has just recently died, and she wishes to visit Kefallonia with her son, and lay a wreath and her mothers ashes over the submarine wreck site if this was possible. Can any-one help with information regarding best area to stay at, who would be able to take her out to the wreck site ect. She wishes to go out to the site on the 20 Oct 2006 if possible. Thank-you Mr J Shaw.

Contact the Korgialenion Museum, they can give you the best info on that. There is a link on this site that gives HMS Perseus info. Also, on Lithostroto, near the Antico cafe, there is a historical display and info on the Wars. Last but not least, the museum heading off the Plateia in Argostoli, has historical info that they can assist you with. That is the Kosmetatos museum.
